The San Xavier Mission, known as the White Dove of the Desert, is one of the most famous and most beautiful sites in the Tucson area. It was built from 1783 to 1797. This Catholic church is still active today.

Take Interstate 19 South to San Xavier Rd. Exit and head west to Little Nogales Dr., turn right and head north to San Xavier Rd. again. The Mission will be right there.
